HOW YOU CAN HELP THE HAYS HOUSE
OR BECOME A TOUR GUIDE

The Hays House is a continuing community involved project. Interested residents serve the Hay House in many capacities--tour guides, garden maintenance, promotions, organizing and participating in special events, and fund raising projects. Schools, civic and special interest clubs, Boy Scouts and other adult and youth groups have completed service projects. We have many other projects that could be undertaken by individuals and groups. Some projects are suitable for Eagle Badge projects.

Items that could be donated: See Future Plans. In addition, we are seeking money for restoration of interior of the Hays House

If you can provide your time or talent, or donate items or money for the purchase of needed items, please contact us on the form below or telephone 410-838-7691.

DO YOU LOVE HISTORY?

Do you love old buildings?
Do you want to be a part of something special in Harford County?

Then, become a docent (tour guide) at the Hays House Museum. You will be part of a team that guides visitors through Bel Air's only Colonial Period house that is open to the public. The Hays House is open on Sunday afternoons, and you will be "on duty" approximately once every six weeks. Training is provided. Colonial costume is optional, but encouraged.

Be part of this project to educate, and to preserve our history...for us and for our children!

Thank you for any help that you can provide.
